When I try to connect my MoCA device I lose my internet and/or TV service. Why?
The most common explanation for this issue is that both the MoCA frequency coming from your device and the DOCSIS frequency coming from your ISP are in the same range or are overlapping in some way. The only way to fix this is to have your ISP come out to your home and have them adjust the DOCSIS frequency to something NOT in the range of 1125 MHz to 1675 MHz. This is because the MoCA frequency cannot be changed.
While you have the ISP in your home, you can also have them make sure there is a good signal going to the coax jacks you want to use and that the coax jacks you are not using are capped off.
If you are still having issues after they come out, please give us a call for further troubleshooting.
