Will the ECB work with the Xfinity XB8?
Yes, we have tested the ECB6200, 6250, and 7250 with Xfinity XB8, and all have worked with no issue as long as you have correctly installed a PoE filter on the line coming into your home and enabled the MoCA feature in the XB8, which is disabled by default by the ISP.
Only the ISP can help you enable the MoCA feature in your XB8. Our team of help desk agents are not allowed to help you configure settings in devices that are not manufactured by our company, as they are not trained on them.
The XB8 is only MoCA 2.0, so it will slow the ECB6250 and ECB7250 down to the MoCA 2.0 speeds. This is a limitation of the Xfinity device and cannot be changed.
