Why is my MoCA connection intermittently dropping?

  1. This could be a signal issue; you may need to have your ISP come out and make sure there is no interference(>1002MHz) coming from the DOCSIS signal coming from your cable service.
  2. Make sure all the coax connections are hand-tight on all MoCA devices, including your modem.
  3. Make sure you have a PoE (Point-of-Entry) 1002MHz low-pass filter on the coax line coming into your home.
  4. Make sure your MoCA devices are all on the most recent firmware.
  5. Make sure there are no failing amplifiers connected to the coax.
  6. Make sure there are no TV amplifiers between(separate) the MoCA nodes.
