How do I troubleshoot issues with signal loss over long coaxial runs?

For signal loss over long coax runs:

  1. Ensure total length doesn’t exceed 300 feet (MoCA 2.5’s maximum range).
  2. Check and reduce splitter count, as each causes 5-7 dB signal loss.
  3. Use high-quality RG6 coax to replace old lines.
  4. If needed, add a MoCA-compatible amplifier.
  5. Check the MoCA link rate in the device’s WEB GUI.
