How do I address interference issues in my MoCA network?

To address interference in your MoCA network:

  1. Install a PoE (Point of Entry) 1002MHz low-pass filter where the coax enters your home to block external DOCSIS noise signal interference.
  2. Ensure all splitters support MoCA (500-1675 MHz band).
  3. Check for damaged or loose coax cables and replace low-quality connectors.
  4. If using cable TV amplifiers, ensure they’re MoCA-compatible or remove them.
  5. If using cable TV amplifiers, ensure the amplifiers don’t separate the MoCA nodes.
  6. Update all MoCA devices to the latest firmware.
